Yuzu is a free open-source Nintendo Switch emulator made by Citra Team, the exact same set of programmers that made Citra, the Nintendo 3DS emulator written about previously. The two emulators share a lot of similarity in their code. It's officially available on 64-bit Windows 7 and over, in addition to 64-bit Linux hardware. 8 gigabytes of RAM is the bare minimum, although 16 gigabytes is suggested. MacOS isn't currently supported, however, as of April 2020, compatibility for your hardware has been developed; it is not currently known when this will be implemented. Yuzu is regarded as user-friendly. To play the numerous playable games legally, you are required to dump them from your own Nintendo switch. DLC and game updates can be installed, and this can be known to be quite a straightforward procedure. In terms of connecting controllers for usage, you will want to change some configurations, though the details depend on what game you're playing, as well as your hardware. Using a mouse and computer keyboard functions for games, also you can especially set up your mouse and keyboard for certain actions.

One feature that Yuzu has is very similar to a Citra has (which was written about previously). You may choose whether you'd like to install the Yuzu Nightly version or the Yuzu Canary variant. Yuzu Nightly is a far more stable version of Yuzu that will be easier for you to use and play games with, but it does not have some features you might want accessible. The Yuzu Canary version, in contrast, may not be as stable as Nightly, but has a few features Nightly doesn't have available. Like in Citra, these features are occasionally experimental; they might be eventually placed into Yuzu Nightly, other times they're left alone in Yuzu Canary, or, sometimes, removed entirely from any kind of accessible Yuzu software. Other times they're only features that only work with lesser functionality (Or brings the game's functionality down), which explains why they are exclusive to the less steady variant (Yuzu Canary).
